Update about COVID-19
Update: March 14, 2020:
Dear friends of William Way LGBT Community Center:
This is an update to our earlier announcement of the closing of all public programs through Friday, April 3rd, 2020.
As of 2PM on Saturday, March 14th, we have decided to close our limited 12-5PM public hours in the lobby to further limit the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) through our communities. We are also closing the Center to keyholders for 12 step meetings. If you are in need of support or connection, we encourage you to reach out to the Center:
Call us at 215-732-2220 and leave a message with voice mail, and we will call you back as quickly as possible.
Email us at info@waygay.org, and your message will be forwarded to the right person.
Message us on Facebook or Instagram, which we will be checking regularly. We will also post updates there as needed.
Though the Center will not be accessible to 12-step meetings during this time, we are listing below on-line meeting options for various fellowships. We stand in solidarity with all of our friends in recovery. If you are a trusted servant and would like to use our Zoom account to have a remote video/audio meeting, we are happy to make this link available to you. The account allows up to 100 people in a group at a time. If you'd like to use this resource for a meeting, please reach out to Chris Bartlett at wwccedir@waygay.org.
During this time of the closure of the Center's physical building, the Center's staff will be closely monitoring email, voice mail, and social media. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there is any way we can be helpful.
