Nature Portraits with sr.austin (workshop)
Workshop, 2022

Workshop description: Do you have occurring dreams of water? A spice or tea blend that is your go to for comfort? Have a memory of helping your grandparents in the garden or cooking? How has nature shaped who you are? In this intentional workshop, participants explored how water, plants, and animals show up in their lives as Black LGBTIA+ folks. Participants were encouraged to bring a photo of themselves, a favorite memory, dream or moment to creatively interpret and made their own nature portrait using their preferred artistic materials such as iPad, drawing tablets, smart phones, pencil and paper, images from magazines, etc. All artistic levels were welcome.
