Bags That Give Back: William Way LGBT Community Center Selected to Benefit in the ACME Reusable Bag Program Designed to Give Back in Local Communities
Philadelphia, PA – Reduce single-use plastic in the environment and give back to those in need in the local community, all while running routine weekly errands at the local ACME. William Way LGBT Community Center has been selected by local ACME store leadership as the benefiting non-profit in the ACME GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Reusable Bag Program for the month of June!
The ACME GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Program is an easy way for shoppers to give back to the local community and the environment as part of the regular shopping routine. Every $3.00 reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag sends a $1 donation to a non-profit local to the ACME in which it was purchased.
As part of this ongoing program, every month at every ACME location a different local non-profit is selected to benefit from the sale of the reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag. William Way LGBT Community Center was selected as the June beneficiary by local store leadership at the store located at 309 South 5th Street. William Way LGBT Community Center will receive a $1 donation for every $3.00 reusable GIVE BACK WHERE IT COUNTS Bag purchased at this location in June.
“It’s more important than ever to help reduce single-use plastic in the environment,” said Chris Bartlett, Executive Director of William Way LGBT Community Center. “Non-profits at the local level, like us, are in need of community support.
